Burning, Numbness, Tingling, Or Pain In Your Heel

There can be a myriad of symptoms of heel pain from numbness and tingling to burning. The majority of these symptoms are from plantar fasciitis, the main supporting structure of your foot. Plantar fasciitis is by far the most common cause of heel pain and can be incredibly debilitating. The Washington Heel Pain Center specializes in treating the different causes of heel pain not just plantar faciitis.

Nerve entrapments or bursitis or other common causes as well as bone spurs. We often use ultrasound or an x-ray to evaluate these different causes and our treatment protocols work extremely well to get you back to the activities you love quickly. It is very important to have the pain and other symptoms evaluated by a podiatrist as other underlying causes can be missed. We see quite a few patients that have had stress fractures of the heel that have previously been treated as plantar fasciitis. If you have heel pain that has persisted more than a couple week come have it examined and treated so as to not let it become a chronic conditions. Heel pain that has been around for months can be harder to treat and become increasingly painful.
